- The New Zealand Au Pair Association has become an approved NGO of the International Au Pair Association
- The New Zealand Au Pair Association has removed the criteria for an Au Pair agency to have operated for 1 year prior to joining the association. All new agencies will now be welcome to join as affilliate members for their first year of operation.
- The New Zealand Au Pair Association disapproves of agencies who are recommending families to pay Au Pairs below minimum wage. Please make sure that you discuss with an accountant if your payments to your Au Pair are in-line with minimum wage requirements.
