FAQ

Choosing an agency to work with is an important part of the decision making process for a family and an Au Pair. The key criterion's to look for when choosing an agency are:
- Are they accredited i.e. are they members of the International Au Pair organisations or local National organisations?
- Who are their partners? I.e. if you are an Au Pair looking to go overseas it is important that you understand which agency that will be caring for you in the host country.
- Do they have testimonials of Au Pairs or Families who have previously used their services? Can you speak with anyone who has used their services?
Can I recruit my Au Pair privately? How do I recruit my Host Family/Au Pair privately?
The International Au Pair Association has banned online matching and recommends Au Pairs and Families to stay away from internet sites that offer a "quick" placement without doing the hard work. If you are still convinced that you want to recruit your own Family/Au Pair talk to local agencies in the country where the placement will take place as they may be able to offer you services prior to your placement and during your placement term.
